ALL ABOUT ATPADI -

***History***
In 16th century Atapdi was part of Adilshahi kingdom of Bijapur. Later it was a part of princely state of Aundh as well as a palace city, hence it was called as Atpadi Mahal. After Indian independence and merging of Aundh into republic of India, Atpadi was in Khanapur Taluka in Satara district till new district, Sangali was formed. After formation of new district, Atpadi was separated from Khanapur Taluka and made a Taluka place itself. Prominent Marathi writers like G.D. Madgulkar, B.D. Madgulkar, Shankarrao Kharat are from this place.

*Geography*
Atpadi is a Taluka (Sub division of District) in Sangali District, Located at Latitude: 17° 25' 0 N, Longitude: 74° 57' 0 E. Atapdi is old styled town where town is divided into Galli's of different caste people, making it perfect Indian self-Dependent village.
Forest Area
Atpadi has a forest office, near Swatantrapur. Dubai Kuran (डबई कुरण) is reserved forest area.

Bhingewadi:Bhingewadi is small Grampanchat Village 3 kilometers from Atpadi Town situated at north-west. Bhingewadi consists of farms of people whose surname is Bhinge, so the name Bhingewadi.Bhingewadi is a small village of 2000 people and farms in and around houses. Wheat, Jowar, Bajara, and pomegranate is main produce from the farm lands. Its adjacent to swatantrapur.
Deshmukhwaadi: Situated at south-east of Atpadi.
Ya.Pa. Wadi: Located on Atpadi-Sangola road
Mapate Mala: Located on Atpad-Nimbawade road, south-west Sonarsiddhnagar: Located on Atpadi-Kauthuli road.
* Swatantrapur : It is located in between Atpadi lake and Bhingewadi, it is a free custodian colony built in 1939. The Hindi cinema, 'Do ankhe baraah haath' is based on Swatantrapur.

Barmahi Manganga (AWARD WINNING BLOG): एक व्यासपीठ माझ्या माणदेशातल्या लाखो लोकांसाठी,: "बारमाही माणगंगा " हा केवळ एक ब्लॉग किंवा साहित्यिक लेख अगर बातम्यांचं दालन नाही, हे एक व्यासपीठ माझ्या माणदेशातल्या लाखो लोकांसा... एक व्यासपीठ माझ्या माणदेशातल्या लाखो लोकांसाठी,
"बारमाही माणगंगा " हा केवळ एक ब्लॉग किंवा साहित्यिक लेख अगर बातम्यांचं दालन नाही,
हे एक व्यासपीठ माझ्या माणदेशातल्या लाखो लोकांसाठी, या भागातून जाणारया माणगंगा, अग्रणी आणि येरळा या तीन
नद्यांचं भवितव्य यात सामावलं आहे. बारमाही माणगंगा हि एक मोहीम आहे, नद्या जिवंत आणि बारमाही वाहत्या करण्यासाठी चालवलेली.
यात कोणा एकट्या दुकट्याची मते नाहीत तर अनेक ज्ञात- अज्ञात जाणकार तसेच रूढ अर्थाने अज्ञानी सुद्धा माणसांनी
माणदेशातील नद्यांच्या पुनरुज्जीवना संदर्भात केलेला अभ्यास, मांडलेली मते, केलेले प्रयत्न आणि झालेले काम यांचा समावेश आहे. आपणही या चळवळीचा हिस्सा व्हा. प्रत्येक माणदेशी माणसाने आणि पाणी, पर्यावरण क्षेत्रात काम करणारयाने आवर्जून या व्यासपीठाचा वापर करावा.

औंधच्या राजाला ...मानाचा मुजरा

" कोणताही गुन्हा करणारा माणूस हा कायमच गुन्हेगार नसतो. एखाद्या अनाहूत क्षणी, आतापर्यंत आवरलेला, सावरलेला संयमाचा बांध अचानक फुटतो....अन....खूनासारखा भयंकर गुन्हा त्याच्या हातून घडतो...तेवढा क्षण निसटला....गेला कि एरव्ही तो अन आपल्यात काहीएक फरक नसतो. नेमके हेच ज्या राजानं जाणलं....त्या औंधच्या राजाला अन त्याच्या कर्तृत्वाला सलाम करण्यासाठी, तमाम माणदेशी माणसांच्यावातीने हा मानाचा मुजरा.....!
